Ringleader

Happy Halloween!
Trick or treat, I'll keep this post short and sweet.
I got crafty and thrifty for this look today.
One of the main reasons why I chose to be a Circus Ringleader was well, I had most of the things in my closet already! The right combination of things that I had already led to a pretty cute and wearable costume.
I have been wanting to try out the new "Mohawk" bun look so I purchased a small felt hat to wear off to the side. I purchased the hat and buttons separately and stitched the gold details on myself! I thrifted the cute little cross body bag that actually opens up to be a full wallet!
A nice little magic trick I'd say ;)
I wore my F+B boots because I wanted to wear boots that were black, heeled, have some attitude, and were comfortable. I wore the striped socks to give the look a funky twist for the circus theme.

Sweater Weather

November is right around the corner, so you may already know what that means…. it's sweater weather people! It's also time to pull your denim out from hiding! This stylish look below features clothing from Terese Zache Designs and shoes I  don't already own from (shoo)!
This to die for sweater from Beyond Threads, can be found locally at TZD. It is the perfect blend of fashion and function for the upcoming months in Wisconsin! Its easy pull over style and unique overlapping front will easily become a favorite piece. I didn't want to take it off after the shoot ;)
I picked out the Hanger from Jeffrey Campbell to pair with the flared Liverpool Denim because I needed some height in a  light neutral color (just look at that contrast against the jeans!) and they gave off a little bit of a vintage vibe. The fit of the Liverpool denim was totally groovy and comfy. The Flare is back!
You can't go out for a day on the town without a bag to carry all your goodies in, and the Liebeskind bag was a perfect addition to the look.
Casual and Chic with a metallic glimmer, my Lacey Amber Jewelry can be the perfect addition to any look. Minimal designs blend well with any outfit!
Thanks for stopping by! Stay cozy!

Your Everyday Grunge and Sequins

Halloween is only a short week away, so that means there are some cool vintage finds front and center at the thrift shops. Finding secondhand items are an easy way to make sure you are rocking a one of a kind costume! If you're like me however, you might want to turn those precious finds into an everyday twist.
This jacket is the real deal! It is silk and was made in India and is borderline crazy, but with the upcoming holiday season approaching, I felt like I couldn't go wrong adding some sparkle to my wardrobe. I decided to make the jacket a statement piece in my everyday fashion line up, and pairing it with the oversized sweater and edgy boots made a grungy accent.
Sequin secondhand find from Fashion Farmboy at (shoo)
Grunge, edgy, biker, or bad, these boots can take on any roll! A very unlikely duet with such an unique jacket, but sometimes you have to take some risks! This time of year you can get away with some funky stuff with all of the themed parties and thrifting being so popular, wearing what YOU want has never been so easy!
Boots from A.S. 98
Because I can really get into themed things and matching my outfits, I found matching colors in my collection of nail polish so I could take this shot! But really, what girl doesn't want a little matchy, matchy sometimes?
Triangle studs
I wore very basic colors under my jacket so that it could really shine -literally. Wearing cozy clothing in the fall is really something to look forward to, so I do it when I can! When comfort meets style, thats my happy place :)
What are some great thrifted finds have you acquired? What do you hope to find?

Runway

Last week I took part in a great local event! I was a model for Terese Zache Designs in the fifth annual DAIS Fashion Show. It was such a great experience, a fun and fashionable way to raise money for a local organization!
Backstage was a full on prep station at the Overture Center with hair and makeup being done by local area salons that also volunteered their time. The Terese Zache Designs group was paired with Temptd Salon and I love how my look came together!
The TZD group had a wide range of fall fashions showcased for the runway, from casual to formal and everywhere in between. The outfits worn really displayed all of the different styles the store has to offer! I also thought it was nice to see some color in a fall fashion show!
My pair of Net Boots from Fiorentini + Baker were a great addition to my chic cozy look. They gave me just the right amount of height (and sass) but I was confident walking in them on the runway!
I was happy to help pick out my outfit with the ladies at TZD! We all collectively picked out a fun look for me to wear. It's important so get some color into your fall wardrobe, but we turned it up a notch by pairing two complementary colors together! The collar on the blue sweater from Beyond Threads was amazing and functional for winters in Wisconsin!
The fun and fabulous coat I wore is from Creestone, another great brand from Terese Zache Designs.
 Thanks for swinging by!

Spirit

It's Homecoming weekend here in Madison so I felt the need to wear a little red! Even if you are not the huge die hard fan you can still show some "School Spirit". Instead of wearing black I chose to wear burgundy to complement the grey and red.
This look is preppy and cute and I wanted to pair that with gold to keep the colors rich. With the stripes, red and burgundy I wanted to also keep the accessories and jewelry simple.
Gold Jewelry - Vintage
Red Crossbody - Vintage Hunt Club
I like to add vintage items to my looks so I needed to wear my cool Wisconsin sports jacket. It completed the preppy vibe without dressing down the look.
My leather sneakers are sporty but not too casual. I love wearing these shoes because they are so comfortable and really do go with whatever I need them to. Leather sneakers are great to have so you can be comfortable and stylish, the the added pointed toe gives them a formal twist.
Sneakers - All Black
I just got these new burgundy pants from H&M. They are a mix between leggings and slacks! What a great idea! They look formal but feel casual.
