If you're reading this from Madison WI you know all about Maxwell Street Days, but just incase you need a little reminder or some new knowledge here ya go!
Maxwell Street days originally started in Chicago IL where you could get great deals from shops during a street wide sidewalk sale! A store here on State Street decided to piggy back off the idea 40 years ago and here we are, a huge sale weekend here in the Capital City.
Hoping no one got black and blue bruises from fighting for deals, I wore some of my great finds from Urban Outfitters on State Street and (shoo) by the Capitol creating a classy look with black and blue.
The asymmetric black dress was a perfect match to my new Trippen shoes. This dress originally did not come with the ribbon belt but I added it on from my closet to create a fitted look. Adding the black hat really classed up this look! Sometimes girls just need to dress up for no reason at all.
I have some fun blue leaf like vintage jewelry that I wore and it stood out so well against the black material. Also notice the ever so fashionable hair tie around my other wrist, I can't go anywhere without it! :) Even though I used a different shade of blue for my nailpolish it worked well to give this look a cool summer vibe .
As always I wear a lot of the jewelry that I have made myself! The minimal sterling jewelry worn with this outfit is all Lacey Amber Jewelry. The Big moonstone ring was a great find from a tattoo show a few years back.
Drum roll please....... I introduced the Trippen EL to my shoe collection over the weekend and they are perfect! This is my third pair of wedges from this brand, but each pair is still so unique. Comfortable and fashionable as always, this German brand is a real crowd pleaser!
Thanks for Reading!
