Today my Grandma turned 92! She was born way back in 1923! So in honor of this wonderful woman I put together a vintage inspired look.
I layered a high waisted skirted with a long sheer lace embroidered top to create an illusion of a full length dress. I wore a nude bra underneath to keep the look simple and more breathable. The skirt was found at ReThreads on State Street and is a fancy shhmancy brand made in Italy while I found my top at Dry Goods. I really like how formal and chic this look turned out!
Another way I channeled my grandma into this look is the crystal necklaces. They were passed down to me through the family. I also used this amazing vintage leather purse (brand unknown) that has a crazy cool opening. The white and gold combo with gold chain makes for an extra formal touch. I also sported some more family vintage rings and new jewelry from my Lacey Amber Jewelry collection.
One other fun thing I tried out was this hair-do! I thought it was a nice modern flare and was a perfect way to keep my hair off of the beautiful embroidery.
I wore my pale blue J Shoes purchased from (shoo) a couple years back to add a touch of color. The shoes also had a natural trip that really makes the shoes pop with the skirt!
Even though this outfit looked like a vintage wedding dress I loved it! It would be great for a fancy date night or a lovely evening at a nice museum. Either way, its fun to dress things up a bit every once in a while.
Thanks for Reading!
