Phall Plaid

With Thanksgiving being this week I wanted to have a Phabulous Phall outfit! This season is all about plaid, on everything but that doesn't always mean it needs to be front and center. Use plaid as a layering piece to pop around the edges.
I like to mix black, grey and white with any shade of red. whether its casual or not this color combo is a winner.
fleece lined tights - UO
long vest - New Prospect Wholesale from (shoo)
sweater + plaid - J.Crew
Wearing short necklaces that peak out of your collar is a preppy way to dress up your look. I like to wear unique necklaces when I do this, the necklace worn with this outfit is vintage.
Rings and Earrings - Lacey Amber Jewelry
shades - Banana Republic
I wore these classic black boots with the outfit to give it an effortlessly cool chick look. They can be worn up or folded down and as you can see I could'd decide what way I wanted to go so I picked both! Adding the briefcase like purse was another accessory that added to the preppy "too cool for school" tude I had going on.

carry on purse - Melie Bianco

Fall Fringe

My BFF and I went out for a bit of tea while I wore a cozy fringe outfit. This look was great while out and about on a crisp sunny day. Cozy Country Chic meets tea time ladies and gents :)
I wore simple jewelry in silver. My outfit had a lot going on already so I stuck with my easy to stack rings. I found my cozy aztec sweater at Target last year, it has been a snugly addition to my closet ever since. Believe it or not, I unexpectedly found my wool hat at Walmart!
The fringe is in the accessories. The vest has a suede look to it which pairs well with the other leather accents I wore. My fringe purse, heeled booties and belt are all Bed|Stu purchased from (shoo) - also the vest! Bed|Stu makes a lot of cute boho inspired stuff for the wild child in everyone! :)

Fashionably Prepared

November is actually starting to feel like, well November, so now is the time to start thinking about fashionable layers and cozy jackets!
Terese Zache Designs has great cold weather clothing that will keep you cozy and cute all season long!
This edgy outfit is complemented by all of the accessories and jewlz. I also wore bold makeup to complete the look. If you are the type of person that only likes to dip their toes in the pool of cool and edgy fashion, then pick up a few accessories to add to your wardrobe that will give you an effortless way to add on that extra kick!
leather embossed bag - Linea Pelle
metallic booties - John Fluevog
Jewelry - Lacey Amber Jewelry
You have to rock the layers, thats the best thing about having seasons where the temperature actually changes! - and an excuse to have more clothes ;)
Simply putting on a jacket changes this look a bit. I find that the high contrast between white and black still keeps the edgy vibes flowing. Black and white really matches anything, and the pattern is amazing.
cool & cozy jacket - Katherine Barclay
suede pants - Elliott Lauren

Weekend Style

Cozy layers are a weekend's best friend, and plaid is always in style during the fall. So why not combine all the greatness that a fall weekend has to offer by wearing it all!
I wore this outfit indoors and out on Saturday and could lighten up the layers if needed. I like pairing different shades of like colors together for a mainly monochromatic look. A slouchy bag, sneakers and hand warmers give this look a nice finishing touch.
Light weight comfy Sneaks - Sewell by OTBT
I bike to and from almost all of my destinations so I need something stylish to keep me warm, cue in the fingerless mittens! With they're cute pattern and matchable color I can toss them on with whatever!
My denim vest was font second hand. I liked the color and fit of the jacket but not the length of the arms… so I cut them off! Make your thrift finds one of a kind :) * washing and drying torn/cut denim gives it a nice frayed finish

Unseasonably Warm

When November gives you 70 degrees, you want to make lemonade. We have been experiencing some Indian Summer days here in Wisconsin this week so I can't complain, just going to show a little skin and get some sunshine.
This look is monochromatic with a burgundy pop. Even though it didn't feel like fall weather I still wanted to sport some fall fashion and to me burgundy is always a must. I picked out a cropped blazer so that you can still see most of the fitted maxi dress but I also didn't want to over power the mock turtleneck with a big sweater or blazer.
My accessories were edgy but playful and simple in color. They helped give my look a business casual  L.A. flare.
John Fluevog -Metallic booties
Vintage inspired shades - Ragstock
Edgy bag and cropped blazer from UO
Rings and Earrings - Lacey Amber Jewelry
What was so different about this look from what I normally would wear was a. it's a dress and b. a maxi dress on top of that! The fitted dress was still flattering even with it's length, and a flare of fall fashion with the high neckline.
