Lugging about in Paisley

This look is very casual and a go to for a fast outfit. Having really cool shoes or boots that stand out can steal the show but I added a few other elements to the outfit to mellow out the white lug soles on my shoes.
My white straw hat complemented the white on my shoes, forcing your eyes to carry upward. But instead of bouncing from toe to head the paisley in the middle gives you a fun print to look at in-between.

I also added some rich elements to my makeup. I wore a burgundy lip and added a little more color to my brows because I liked the complements in the pattern of the shirt.

Fall into a new Season

Hello Autumn!
Dressing for fall is fun and exciting! Layers, prints, patterns galore… but then comes the bitter Winter here in Wisconsin. But let's not think about that yet and enjoy the beautiful September days we have been having :)
This look was a fun project, from picking out the outfit, making my Fall bouquet to hanging out with my two favorite people "on set". I hope this look inspires you and the seasonal outfits to come!
Im going to keep the text short and sweet and let the pictures do the talking for this post :)
I mixed new and vintage items throughout my whole look. One of my favorite parts of this time of year are the new boots and felt hats! The air is crisp but not too cold so hats can be worn for fashion (without you getting too hot) before hats need to be used for winter survival!
Hat - EXPRESS
Vintage backpack - Dooney & Bourke
Vintage necklace - my Mom's
Mens flannel worn on little ole me - Eddie Bauer
Gotta love some great boots! Not only do these boots look fantastic, they feel that way too! They also are kind of a chameleon, they adapt to any outfit to make it look that much better!
Fiorentini + Baker boots - Net from (shoo)
It was so unbelievably nice to lay in the tall grass! Can't you tell ;) Better get out there and lay in some grass with your favorite flannel  before it's a pile of snow!
Vintage denim skirt - from Mom's closet
Thanks for stopping by to check out my first OFFICIAL Fall look!

What are your favorite Fall items you can't wait to get out from storage?

Nudesday

Happy Nudeseday! Yes I will be wearing clothes in all of my pictures, today is Nudesday because of the colors this look consists off! I wore an array of neutral colors mainly consisting of brown tones to create a chic preppy look.
This time of year means layering. It's chilly in the morning and cools off the evening once the sun goes down. If you are out from the house all day you'll need to think of ways to transform your look with light layers that are easy to bring with you. I chose another neutral item to layer over the top portion of my Urban Outfitters dress. My sweater was light and had a looser knit to it.
I could fit it in my Vintage Dooney & Bourke purse or tie it around my waist.
I tend to pair gold with warm brown tones when picking out outfits, this added to the preppy look my outfit already had and it's always fun to wear vintage jewelry :)
Continuing with the nude color theme and preppy look I wore my saddle shoe oxfords from Bed|Stu. I removed the laces for easy wear and I also didn't want to take away from the natural leathers for this outfit. Gold was also repeated on my bag.

Made Well

Fall Is right around the corner! That means the weather in Madison is different on the Daily so you need to have clothes ready for ANYTHING at this point!
Today was a little brisk with a splash of sunshine. Light layers, jeans and sandals completed a comfortable outfit. My look for today also had many well made items collaborating together...it made me feel fancy :)
I have been using my new vintage Dooney & Bourke leather backpack from Swamp and Roll nonstop since I got it for my Birthday on Sunday. The black leather makes for a chic look that will match almost everything in my closet! I also bike basically everywhere I need to go so it is a very functional piece for me.
I kept my accessories easy, Minimal black leather items that are made to last! The all-weather leather Dooney backpack, new Madewell Leather Pouch Wallet (which I love) and my always classic ATP Atelier sandals. All of these favorites effortlessly made me look like a bad ass… just sayin'
Purple Glasses - Marc by Marc Jacobs
Now on to the jewelry… I wore some vintage pearls (sadly just costume jewelry) and my hand crafted sterling earrings and rings. Not only are the leather goods well made, but so is my Lacey Amber Jewelry. I hand craft these items, they are hand cut, soldered (joining metal with silver solder), and filed along with mostly hand polishing!
My light linen Tunic Tee was my first purchase from Madewell, along with my leather pouch wallet! I was mesmerized in the store. Simple styles with quality fabrics were everywhere! I wanted to run home, sell everything I already owned and come back and buy the whole store! I layered a cute vintage denim button down from Good Style Shop to add a preppy flare to the outfit.

Birthday Suit

While I'm not in my true Birthday Suit I chose to wear a jumpsuit to celebrate my Birthday in this weekend! Even with the hot temperatures this jumpsuit was cool enough to wear with the sheer thin top and legs and open back. I paired simple accessories with this loud suit for an easy day to night outfit.
